    Morning Rain

    today!

Wednesday, May 23, 2007, 05:04 PM EST [General]

I had a great phone conversation with a new friend from Covenspace. I felt more than easy on the phone! It was such a blessed way to spend the morning and part of the afternoon. Rhea, thank you so much for the friendship and wonderful exchange.

Then it was time to go get Geoffrey. I promised him early today and made it on time. He was thrilled. We have a final report card of all A's and E's. Report card says promoted to 5th grade pending test results. We got the final results on our Gateway test today too! There is an official 5th grader in our home! Woot Woot!!!

We just finalized the plans on our deck! We scrapped the screened porch for an arbor and bench on the side. I swear I'm doing away with grass! LOL We'll have pots but not grass... lol  We have a spot where a double door was removed that has plywood on the outside of the house. He's going to build me an arbor with bench seat and sides for my wisteria to climb! How cool! We won't have to worry about the siding not matching with this lattice backed arbor.

Under the porch will be finished with bead board. We will get the windows finished out (we've planned a garden window in the kitchen) and pressure wash and paint the house. I just might want to stay here. How can you do this kind of work and leave it behind? It would be hard...

We thought we were getting so messed over after Steve's mom died without a will. The improvements to this house are so sweet though and we couldn't have done it without her. All that money she saved for her kids... I wish we could say thank you again. Charlie left Geoffrey enough to pay for his college and mom left us enough to make our house comfortable . We are blessed.

I also called and have an appointment for my eyes next Wednesday.

Steve keeps talking about this little shop area he found - the rent is $650 a month in a little shaded established older mall in Tucker. What would I do with a store of my own? I've never thought about it as more than a nice thought and he wants me to. WOW. I guess I'll start imagining! It would answer the job dilemma. Oh my Goddess...it would answer the job dilemma!!!! This one will need some heavy praying...

So how's this for a good day?

    feels pretty awesome to me.

    a - musing myself

Tuesday, May 22, 2007, 08:52 PM EST [General]

Remember being a kid and going out for ice cream? It was so good and rich. You didn't need a giant size to feel like you had a treat. I haven't stopped for ice cream from a drive thru in years - not since Dairy Queen changed it's formula. Geoffrey really doesn't care for it much but he said he'd eat some since I called to see what kind of topping he wanted. There's a new Sonic in town and it just looked so pretty...so I ordered 3 regular sonic blasts with m&m topping. They put a dolop of whipped cream on top and sure enough, it was beautiful and I was so excited to get home and give everyone their treat. The whipped cream was good, the m&m's were good...and the icecream is low fat-ice soft ice milk. I swear it's awful. I would have been so happy with half a cup of good, instead of 2 1/2 cups of bland. I guess we just can't go back in time...and how things were have now become my old stories. Too bad too... there just ought to be some good rich ice cream somewhere.

I hope everyone had a real nice day. Mine was pretty good. Our weather in Atlanta is DRY DRY DRY. South Georgia has wildfires and the air was so thick with smoke HERE it was hard to tell the sun was shining. I've never seen anything like it before. I'm sure California probably experiences the smoke. But we haven't. We're also being prepped for NO WATERING of yard or gardens. I told Geoffie we'll use bath water if we have to to water the garden. The forcast is for severe drought this summer.

I had training on a recording aspect of the new monitoring software. Work uses a program called Witness and monitors everything. It records Internet page views, all phone calls, matches the calls and Internet steps you make to help a customer...judges whether it's logical troubleshooting. Now it even keeps track to the second how long your bathroom breaks take. I swear it drains you...just knowing about it being used is draining. I keep peppermint and lavender oil at work and my crystals and worry stone...I go in prepared to fight negatives. It's not always possible, but I sure try. Today, I just did my best and said screw it when someone said we were on constant monitor. I'd love it if they fired me, but they aren't going to. I'm the best rep they have. Denina just smiles, and says don't worry about it. I was going to make up the hours I missed from yesterday. She said I didn't have to if I didn't want too. LOL Well guess what? I didn't want to! I'm gonna work at home and see if I can get laundry caught up and a bit more planting done.

I know, I'm spoiled. I'm not complaining...I'm very happy to be such a valued employee that they love me and let me work 2 days a week. No one else gets to do it. I'm special. I have seniority. I know they are holding their breath hoping I'll come back to full time. I'm holding mine waiting for them to let me telecommute. Wonder who'll turn blue first? ME, I'm sure...but I have till August and who knows what will happen between now and then? We shall surely see.

I hope everyone's night is blessed; with love, gentle interactions, and something you each WANT to do.

May Creator hold you in loving hands.

    Sweet dreams.

    back on track

Sunday, May 20, 2007, 06:35 PM EST [General]

well that sounded rough huh? Heather gave me a gentle kick. Hubby helped me move emotional junk where it belongs. I got cyber hugs and prayers. A lady can't ask for more. Thank you everyone. I'm better. I have a list and will make sure I handle what needs handling. Thanks so much for caring.

I posted an ad to Craig's list for the kittens. I got two calls today from people who say they want BOTH kittens. We'll see what happens. They need some attention and haven't gotten it this week. They sure are sweeties.

I got the holes dug, the bucket emptied, the grass is mowed (thanks to hubby) plants are watered. Evening is moving right along.

    big hugs to everyone.

    if I could ask...

Sunday, May 20, 2007, 01:38 PM EST [General]

Cherokee Traveler's Greeting ~~~~~ I will draw thorns from your feet. We will walk the White Path of Life together. Like a brother of my own blood, I will love you. I will wipe tears from your eyes. When you are sad, I will put your aching heart to rest.

Today I have struggled with a sadness. If you could light a candle, I would appreciate it. I've been sitting in the sunshine and it feels so good. I know that there are things that either come to pass or don't. I don't have an answer with this thing. It's not time for an answer.

I grew up hearing PRAY like everything depends on God and WORK like it all depends on YOU. My gramma voice is busy with me this morning.

I could use the boost if you feel so moved.

    much love,

    ~Amber
