When the sun in the morning Peeps over the hill, And kisses the roses 'round my windowsill Then my heart fills with gladness When I hear the trill Of the birds in the treetops on Mockin' Bird Hill
My morning song to relieve stress - lol
I have just a few minutes to feed my birds and check my plants. Squash does not grow in shallow pots by the way. I'm hoping to fill the beds in time to save the plants but they've started trying to make baby squash and the tips are rotting. I think it's too late. I have to water too often because they are in pots. I do have one rouge squash in the corner of the yard. I have small hope for a few fresh yellow summer squash.
I'm going to relisten to Susun Weeds tape series today while I work emails. She is so funny and such a good speaker. Tomorrow I will be getting Geoffrey's hair cut, my notarized statement for no shots, and registering him for school with first day of MONDAY.
We brought the kittens downstairs yesterday and they have turned into sleek little panthers. LOL The higher they can perch the better they like it. Not one call off the Craig's List ad... I think I'll make cards up for the vet's offices in this area. Maybe that will help find them homes. Otherwise, I'm conna spay them and turn them back outside. Let them live in the shed... crap. Oh kitty love.... it's the best.
I keep reading about the dark of the moon - the dark is the New Moon. She allows energy to be pulled from the Earth. If you drum do it on the New Moon, not the full. You'll experience the most incredible energy build and you can release the energy and send it where you want it.
Geoffie's new shoes came today in the mail. Zappos is wonderful if you know your size. Where else will you get men's shoes with Velcro? lol He was thrilled.
I've got pork ribs in the oven.
Autotrader changed my supervisor - can't never leave things alone...
Taryn came over for money. Kaiha announced she is going back to exotic dancing.
Sometimes I would like to just stop thinking. Turn my mind off and find the silence.
Tonight there are three cold frames and two raised beds - I told Steve Handiman I wasn't picky, I just want them! lol He keeps grinning and working! Here are the coldframes. He's not quite finished with the lids, but DAMN! lol pretty good for 3 old doors I think.
You know what a french door is? We removed three when we did the remodeling back in 04. They've sat against the fence under a tarp since then. Today, two of them became lids for cold frames. OH MY GODS... 2 6 ft long, 3 feet wide boxes... yes, heaven in the making. This man was unloading his truck, lifting 3 huge boards at a time - there is nothing more beautiful than the body (yes a male body) lifting a load - I told Steve to go help him so I could watch them both. lol what a turn on! lol
I heard this thud on the porch and went out to find my box of herbs from Rose Mountain. Until mine are ready to use, I'm going to use theirs. I got my stinging nettle leaf, dandilion leaf, chaste berries, St Joan's Wort. Steve thinks I'm nuts.
Then my fall seeds came with the mail!
We took Pepper off to her new home. Geoffie cried. He loves his charges. Stephanie called me because her adult cat was under the bed hissing and yowling. The kitten was hiding under the dresser. I told her not to worry - they'll figure it out.
We have a bit of rain now and the handiman will be back tomorrow. It's been a great day.
The raised garden beds are going to be built! I am so excited. The man is using 16" wide boards for it. My plants will have room for roots! One will be for herbs and two for food. He actually went to the library and studdied how to build a cold frame! You may never hear from me again because I think I'm about to die and go to heaven! LOL
I am up and ready for the day to begin -
I wonder what the cats would do if I locked them all outside for a while? I'm thinking about it...
